Choosing an opener for a Greely garage
Greely has large estate lots in Shadow Ridge and Parkway Park with big double and triple garages. Tall estate garages are ideal for wall-mount jackshaft LiftMaster units and battery backup.
Opener brands we supply and install
- Chamberlain: Chamberlain offers quiet belt-drive models with myQ app control and optional battery backup at a homeowner-friendly price.
- LiftMaster: LiftMaster is the professional-grade line, with strong DC belt-drive and wall-mount models and myQ built in.
- Craftsman: Craftsman openers are durable chain and belt units with a long track record in Canadian garages.
- MasterCraft: MasterCraft is a dependable, budget-conscious option that suits detached garages and rentals.
Drive types and prices
| Opener type | Best for | Installed price |
|---|---|---|
| Chain-drive | Detached garages, workshops, budget installs | $700–$750 |
| Belt-drive (quiet) | Rooms above or beside the garage | $750–$850 |
| Smart Wi-Fi (myQ) | Phone control, delivery and away alerts | $850–$950 |
Every new opener is $650–$950 installed depending on model, with a written price before we start. Wall-mount (jackshaft) units are available for high or cluttered ceilings, and battery backup keeps the door working during power outages.
